At ‘Etthnovistta’, we are committed to conducting our business with integrity, transparency, and accountability. As a participant in the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) and under applicable Indian laws, we strictly adhere to established business rules to protect the interests of buyers, sellers, and all stakeholders.
A. Purpose
This policy ensures that all product listings, pricing, and related information published on our platform are accurate, transparent, and compliant with ONDC standards, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and other applicable laws.
B. Scope
This policy applies to:
- All products and services listed on our platform.
- All sellers/vendors registered with ‘Etthnovistta’.
- All employees, contractors, and system processes involved in listing, cataloguing, pricing, and promoting products.
C. Policy Provisions
- Transparent Pricing
- All product prices shall be displayed clearly and unambiguously, inclusive of applicable GST and other statutory taxes/fees.
- Any discounts, offers, or promotional pricing will be disclosed transparently with:
- Original price (strike-through where applicable).
- Discounted price.
- Duration/validity of the offer.
- Hidden charges, misleading discounts, or inflated MRP practices are strictly prohibited.
- Accurate Product Listings
- Sellers must provide complete and accurate information about products, including:
- Product name, description, features, and specifications.
- Quantity, weight, size, dimensions, and material (where applicable).
- Manufacturer, packer, and importer details (as per Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011).
- Product listings must not contain false, misleading, or exaggerated claims.
- Sellers must ensure compliance with category-specific legal requirements (e.g., FSSAI license for food items, BIS certification for electronics).
- Product Images & Representations
- Product images must be authentic and representative of the actual product.
- Usage of stock images must not mislead customers.
- Variations (such as color, size, packaging) must be clearly indicated.
- Fair Listing Practices
- In compliance with ONDC Handbook and Consumer Protection (E-commerce) Rules, ‘Etthnovistta’ expressly prohibits FAKE REVIEWS, fabricated ratings, or any seller posting reviews as a consumer. Sellers and employees must not engage in such practices, and violations will result in strict disciplinary action, including de-listing.
- No seller shall engage in misclassification, keyword manipulation, or duplicate listings to gain unfair visibility.
- Our platform ensures non-discriminatory treatment of sellers in listings and search results, consistent with our Non-Discrimination Policy.
- Returns, Refunds & Warranties
- Listings must clearly specify return/refund eligibility, timelines, and conditions.
- Product warranties and guarantees, where applicable, must be clearly mentioned.
D. Seller Obligations
- All sellers are required to certify compliance with this policy as part of the onboarding process.
- Sellers must promptly update product information in case of changes (e.g., price revision, stock availability).
- Non-compliance may lead to de-listing, suspension, or blacklisting in line with ONDC’s disciplinary framework.
E. Monitoring & Enforcement
- ‘Etthnovistta’ will implement a TICKET-BASED COMPLAINT TRACKING SYSTEM for buyers and sellers. Every complaint will receive a unique tracking ID, and resolution timelines will be monitored to ensure compliance with ONDC grievance redressal requirements (48-hour acknowledgment, 1-month resolution).
- Our platform conducts regular audits of product listings and pricing.
- Automated and manual checks are performed to detect non-compliance, misinformation, or unfair trade practices.
- Violations will result in corrective actions, penalties, or legal escalation as required.
F. Review & Continuous Improvement
We will periodically review this policy to ensure compliance with:
- ONDC Network Policies & Principles
- Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020
- Applicable Indian laws and global best practices
