At ‘Etthnovistta’, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of governance, compliance, and accountability in our participation on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). As a responsible Network Participant, we pledge to comply fully with the ONDC Disciplinary Framework and ensure fair, transparent, and ethical conduct by all our employees, vendors, sellers, and partners.
A. Purpose
This policy establishes the principles and practices for:
- Ensure adherence to ONDC governance
- Define our approach to disciplinary action in case of non-compliance, misconduct, or violation of ONDC rules.
- Promote accountability and trust across all stakeholders in the ONDC ecosystem.
B. Scope
This policy applies to:
- All Members (employees, contractors, associates, retainers, consultants, and management of ‘Etthnovistta’.
- All Partners (sellers, vendors, and third-party service providers) onboarded through our platform.
- All business operations, technology processes, and data practices linked with ONDC participation.
C. Governance Commitments
We are committed to the following governance principles:
- Transparency: Clear communication of rules, charges, and obligations to all stakeholders.
- Neutrality: Non-discriminatory treatment of sellers, buyers, and partners.
- Compliance: Full adherence to ONDC policies, Government of India regulations, and sectoral laws.
- Accountability: Responsibility for actions taken by our employees, systems, or affiliates.
- Integrity: Zero tolerance towards fraud, misrepresentation, or unethical conduct.
D. Disciplinary Framework
- Types of Violations
- Violations that may attract disciplinary action include, but are not limited to:
- Breach of ONDC Network Policies or contractual obligations.
- Misuse or unauthorized sharing of customer/seller data.
- Discriminatory practices, preferential treatment, or manipulation of listings.
- Fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading conduct.
- Breach of technology protocols (API misuse, security lapses, non-compliance).
- Non-cooperation with ONDC’s audits, monitoring, or grievance redressal processes.
- Disciplinary Actions
Depending on the severity of the violation, actions may include:- Internal disciplinary measures (warning, suspension, termination of employees).
- Corrective measures for sellers/vendors (temporary suspension, de-listing, blacklisting).
- Financial penalties as per ONDC guidelines.
- Reporting to ONDC authorities and cooperation in investigations.
- Escalation to regulators or law enforcement agencies, where required by law.
- Due Process
- All violations will be subject to a fair, impartial, and transparent inquiry.
- The concerned party will be given an opportunity to respond before final action.
- Disciplinary measures will be proportionate to the violation.
E. Oversight & Accountability
A designated Compliance Officer/Grievance Officer will oversee adherence to this policy.
- Periodic audits will be conducted to ensure alignment with ONDC’s Disciplinary Framework.
- Findings of material violations will be reported to ONDC and other authorities as mandated.
F. Review & Updates
This policy will be reviewed regularly to incorporate updates from:
- The ONDC Disciplinary and Governance Framework.
- Amendments to Indian e-commerce, IT, and consumer protection laws.
- Evolving global governance best practices.
